School Specialty Shipping Policy

We reserve the right to determine the method used to fulfill your order and special orders may incur additional shipping and handling fees. Within the various provinces in Canada, there are many remote delivery locations, which can also incur additional extended area surcharges. Additional delivery service fees can include, but are not limited to, “inside delivery,” “lift gate,” and “hazardous material delivery.” Individual items that exceed shipping size restrictions may be subject to additional fees.

The minimum shipping & handling charge is $20 CAD per order. Shipping rates vary by Province or Territory and are subject to change without notice at the sole discretion of School Specialty.

NOTE: Individually negotiated shipping policies will override the standard shipping policy.

Living Materials (L): We currently do not ship living materials to Canada.
Hazardous Materials (H): We currently do not ship hazardous materials to Canada.
Restrictions on Sale of Chemicals: We currently do not ship chemicals to Canada.

  • All orders must include applicable GST and HST.
  • All orders will be processed in CAD funds and must be paid in CAD funds
  • Sales Tax:
    • Exempt customers must provide an exemption certificate at time of order
    • For any issues related to tax on your order, please contact customer care
  • Payment Terms:
    • Our terms are net 30 days
    • Charge accounts are available only to schools and other institutions
    • Orders by individuals must be accompanied by payment in full
    • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards
    • All web orders must be prepaid with a credit card or use a purchase order (PO account required)
  • Prices:
    • All prices shown are school prices
    • In many cases, there is a discount for 6 or more copies of one title
