We reserve the right to determine the shipping method used to fulfill your order. Special orders may incur additional shipping and handling fees. Within the various provinces in Canada, there are many remote delivery locations, which can also incur additional extended area surcharges. Delivery methods and times vary depending on location, time of year, and order size.

Shipping Rates & Charges

  • The minimum shipping and handling charge is $20 CAD per order.
  • Shipping rates vary by Province or Territory and are subject to change without notice at the sole discretion of School Specialty Canada.
  • Individually negotiated shipping policies override the standard shipping policy.
  • Prices listed are in CAD currency and subject to change without notice.

Shipping Method Types

  • Parcel Shipping is used for small, lightweight packages. These shipments are handled by standard carriers such as FedEx. Item numbers beginning with a 5 or 9 in our catalogs ship via parcel.
  • Freight Shipping is used for larger packages or bulk shipments that exceed the size and weight limits of parcel services. Item numbers beginning with a 6 in our catalogs ship via freight.
  • Orders containing mixed item types will incur applicable shipping and handling charges.

Additional Fees May Apply

Some services may incur extra charges, including but not limited to:

  • Inside delivery
  • Lift gate service
  • Oversized items exceeding standard shipping size restrictions

Remote delivery locations within Canada may be subject to extended area surcharges and may require air freight.

Payment Terms

  • Approved Schools or businesses with pay by invoice have Net 30 days payment terms.
  • Invoice charge accounts are available only to schools and institutions. Orders by organizations must be submitted with a purchase order (PO # required).
  • Orders by individuals must be accompanied by credit card payment.
