The Gaumard® Simple Susie® Nursing Care Patient Simulator is a full-size adult female patient simulator built for broad-based general patient care skills training in nursing, CTE health sciences, and allied health programs. Simple Susie supports several foundational clinical practices in a single manikin. Soft, realistic skin on the face, hands, feet, fingers, and toes provides a lifelike tactile experience across bathing, bandaging, and routine care activities. Fully articulating joints (head, jaw, elbows, wrists, ankles, and knees) allow students to practice safe patient positioning and handling techniques. Functional eyes open and close for ophthalmic exercises, while a simulated ear canal supports otic drop and irrigation practice. Upper and lower dentures enable oral hygiene training, and a stylish wig supports both haircare and surgical draping exercises. A realistic vagina and cervix allow practice of vaginal douching and pap smear procedures. IM injection sites are located at the deltoids, quadriceps, and upper gluteal region. The torso bends and detaches at the waist for straightforward storage. Weighs 45 pounds.
