NeoSCI Rust Race Lab Investigation Kit comprises of enough materials for a class of 40 students and enables them to explore the oxidation-reduction process with various metals while measuring the amount of oxygen consumed during the corrosion process. Rust is a much less desirable process that occurs when certain metals are exposed to oxygen and water. This investigation enables students to understand how the principles of oxidation as well as reduction provide many commercially available products that include wet cell batteries and a variety of metals.
