This Block-Based Coding Student Activity Set from Hand2Mind allows students to unplug as they explore coding with a hands-on companion to the ScratchJr™ app. Ideal for young learners and beginners, this screen-free set uses child-friendly blocks with pictures instead of words. A total of 16 challenges help students plan coding sequences, build scripts, and test outcomes using colorful blocks, sprites, and backdrops. Block types like Motion, Looks, Sound, Triggering, and Control help early coders learn the basics of programming while sparking creativity and problem-solving as they fit blocks together.

ScratchJr is part of the Scratch Foundation and was originally developed by Prof. Mitchel Resnick and his Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab and Prof. Marina U.
