CPO Science Link Crazy Chromosomes Full Classroom Package contains enough equipment for six groups of 3 to 5 students. It helps to engage your students and boost their understanding of key concepts. It focuses on various topics including biodiversity, chromosomes, DNA, evolution, genetic disorders, genetic variation, meiosis, mitosis, mutations, natural selection, reproduction, sex-linked traits and traits. Three-levels of hands-on investigations, classroom-tested equipment, tablet-enabled learning experiences and online multimedia content make it a powerful tool to enhance student understanding. It contains five tablet-enabled investigations that are powered by Exploros. It teaches students to make the connection between the DNA, genes, chromosomes and phenotypes. It is designed to use in association with the heredity module and contains colorful manipulative. It allows children to build sets of chromosomes, model gamete formation through meiosis and model fertilization. The gametes are formed and combined to generate a genetically diverse offspring. It meets MS-LS3-2, MS-LS4-5, HS-LS3-1, HS-LS3-2, HS-LS3-3, HS-LS4-2, HS-LS4-4 and HS-LS4-5 NGSS performance expectations.
