Description

Kemtec Classification Kit has sufficient materials for use by 24 students working in 6 groups of 4. Kit allows students to design a dichotomous key that helps in the identification of each of 6 white powders in a set. Various similarities and differences in chemical properties of several substances are recognized and observed by students when these substances are mixed with water, vinegar and iodine solutions. The powders are identified through observations and data collected from the tests conducted. It includes teacher's guide, student worksheets and additional activities to develop observational and classification skills in students.
