Description

The molymod® 22 Layer miniDNA™ Model is a great hands-on tool that represents the complex system of components that make up a double-helix of DNA. The color-coded, abstractly-shaped parts represent the nitrogenous bases, pentagonal sugar, and pyramidal phosphate components of a DNA strand. The hydrogen bonds that connect Cytosine and Guanin, as well as the Thymine and Adenine are reprsented by the appropriate number of pegs on the stand. This model can be unzipped to demonstrate the process of Replication or displayed on its stand.
